Guests arrive on Friday, May 28. Check in at Golden Nugget reception for your room key, then come to Starbucks to check in with Sweet and get your gift bag. Our Starbucks desk is open from 1 to 5pm.

5-8pm: Exclusive Sweet Happy Hour with lesbian comedian Suzanne Westenhoefer. Also, enjoy speed networking hosted by Little Gay Book’s Frankie Bashan. We won’t be strangers anymore after happy hour. We’re having apps, a fajita bar and an OPEN bar to celebrate our arrival in Vegas. The party is in the Augusta Room in the South Tower on the Convention Center Level (CC Level). Afterwards, we’ll group up and hit the strip together.

SATURDAY, MAY 29

Sweet Hiking Tour of the Red Rock
9.30am-1pm
Guided trip includes roundtrip transportation from the hotel, experienced guide, bottled water, snacks and lunch. This hike is rated easy to medium. We’ll have you back in time for the Sweet pool party.

9p -11p: Meet Babs in the Rush Tower lobby for a free Gloria Gaynor concert near our hotel (3rd and Fremont). Whoo hoo! I will survive.

11.30p-2a: Sweet christens BootyBar, the latest late night club confection by legendary CandyBar DJ Lisa Pittman. (Transportation from Golden Nugget is $5 per person. Our shuttle leaves at 11pm. We’ll meet in the Rush Tower Lobby. You’re responsible for your return transportation.)

The Shade Tree Project
The Shade Tree, sheltering women, children and their pets since 1990, is Sweet’s community service project in Las Vegas. With the assistance of local lesbian artist Lois Dohra, Sweeties will add a bit of sweetness and color to two family dormitories.

During their last fiscal year, The Shade Tree sheltered 2,566 women and 1,421 children for a total of 80,791 nights of safe harbor. Your participation in this project will improve conditions significantly for families in need of shelter.

Families aren’t the only victims of domestic violence, that’s why we’ll be helping out in the kennel at Noah’s Animal House.

In three hours, you can make a measurable difference in the lives of abused women and children. Don’t want to work, but still want to help? Bring an item for the shelter’s wish list.

Price: $45

The price of the tour covers paint, painting supplies, roundtrip transportation to and from the shelter, drinks and snacks for the day. All proceeds from this tour above our costs will be donated to The Shade Tree.
4p: Sweet Happy Hour at H20 Bar at the Tank

9p: Meet Babs in the Rush Tower lobby for a fun-filled night excursion to the strip via public transportation on The Deuce, Vegas’ ultra-cool double decker bus ($3 fare). We will stop at the Bellagio to see the evening Dancing Fountains Light Show, the Conservatory of Flowers and, for those sweeties with a sweet tooth, a stop at Jean Phillippe Patisserie to look at the world’s largest chocolate fountain.

11pm-1am: Nightcap at H2O Lounge back at our hotel.

MONDAY
10a-noon: Farewell brunch at Carson Street Cafe.
