No H8: round 2
Aug 15Hate sux. That’s the whole point of Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley’s fab No H8 campaign. The photographic campaign grew out of the passage of Proposition 8 in California. The duct tape represents the silencing of lesbian, gay and allies voices. It’s a fantastic grassroots campaign. Please check it out.
Sweet, our special guests and artists were thrilled at the opportunity to participate. Pictured: Meghan Hall and Natalie Garcia (of AfterEllen’s Nat & Meg’s Sweet Adventures), Gloria Bigelow (co-host of AfterEllen’s CherryBomb and Sweet artist), Patricia Melone (from Sweet’s commercial and our print ads), DeeAnn Quinones (from Sweet’s commercial), Leyla Farah and Rebecca Heaps (Sweet’s awesome PR duo from Cause + Effect Public Relations), Cathy DeBuono (actress and Sweet special guest) and Jill Bennett (actress and Sweet special guest).

And Then Came Lola
Aug 2
In this sexy, lesbian romp, a talented, but distracted photographer, Lola, on the verge of success in both love and work, could lose it all if she doesn’t make it to a crucial meeting on time. But, as usual, Lola is late.

Cathy DeBuono
Jul 12
Cathy DeBuono is a rare actress in Hollywood.
While many actresses remain in the closet, or at least “guarded” about their personal lives, she is not only out and proud, but is actively seeking out lesbian roles.
The daughter of a New York cop, Cathy was a gifted natural athlete and a heavily recruited volleyball player. She attended the University of Kentucky on a full athletic scholarship, and was in training for the US Olympic team when a knee injury ended her career.
While in college, Cathy met Ashley Judd who cast her in a school play and encouraged Cathy to pursue acting – which she did, with gusto. In 1992, She auditioned for a place in the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. She graduated from AADA in 1994 and headed for Los Angeles where she has been cast in roles on television shows like The Pretender, Jenny, Ex’s and Oh’s, 3Way and Martial Law as well as recurring roles on Chicago Hope and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She has also been cast in numerous films such as Out at the Wedding, as well as the short film Tremble & Spark, and the hotly anticipated feature film And Then Came Lola, both due out this summer.
A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Cathy earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in 2003. She’s parlayed her clinical and professional experience into the video blog What’s YOUR Problem?, which was nominated for LOGO’s 2007 NEW NOW NEXT AWARDS for Best. Lesbian. Vlog. Ever. In the vlog, Cathy addresses concerns submitted by her viewers.
Her most recent project, We Have To Stop Now is a romantic comedy in which Cathy plays a therapist who is in therapy herself. After a successful first season, season two is now in pre-development.
