ACTIVITIES
On the community service front, we’re partnering with a local shelter to rescue puppies. We met 46 of the most adorable little creatures. What the puppies need most is to be socialized, so they’ll make good pets. It’s so easy to help. It’s a 10-minute cab ride from our hotel.
In addition to puppies, we’ll work on restoring a beautiful local park, helping kids at the island’s only special needs school, turtle rescue and empowering craftswomen in the community. Remember, you don’t have to do anything. You’re on vacation. Supporting Sweet helps puppies and turtles and women while you sip pina coladas under a palapa. We have tons of ways to help, from bringing wish list supplies to petting puppies, from picking up trash to playing in a charity poker tournament. We make it easy and fun to give back.
This tiny island (near Cancun) — once a sanctuary for Ixchel, the Mayan goddess of childbirth and medicine — is the perfect setting for our week of fun and friendship.
