cozumel activities Sweet Cozumel Palace Resort: Activities

SWEET SINGLES
We’ve got a robust line up of activities for you, from cocktail parties to pool games to karaoke. All led by lesbian matchmaking guru Dr. Frankie Bashan (learn more about Frankie). Sweet will either connect you with a roommate or make you a Sweet deal on a room to yourself. Don’t be shy. You’re going to make tons of new friends.

SWEET STUFF
In addition to entertainment by comedian Bridget McManus and dykelicious duo That’s What She Said, we’ll enjoy pool games, beach games, meaningful community service projects, nightly dance parties and more.

COZUMEL FUN
The options are endless. Don’t worry, if you run out of time, we’re coming back in 2012.

INCLUDED TOURS
Explore the diverse terrain of Cozumel on these tours, available at no additional cost (I never get tired of writing that: no additional cost, no additional cost, no additional cost … glee).

CHANKANAAB
Just south of Cozumel, visit Chankanaab National Park with its botanical gardens and replicas of carved stone monuments representing the most important Pre-Hispanic civilizations. Inside the park you will discover Chankanaab Lagoon, a natural aquarium. In Mayan, this means “small sea” and is considered one of the most exceptional ecosystems in the world. Enjoy a relaxing day at the beach and a wide variety of water sports.

Your tour includes a bilingual tour guide, national park entrance fee and roundtrip transportation. You’re responsible for food and beverages and snorkel gear rental. Wear comfortable shoes (like I need to tell you that), a hat and biodegradable sun block (we’ll get you some recommendations). Bring some moola in case there’s anything you want (or to tip your nice tour guide).

SNORKELING ADVENTURE
The crystal clear, warm waters of the Mexican Caribbean invite you to spoil yourself in two of the most beautiful shallow reefs within the National Marine Park “Reefs of Cozumel”. A professional snorkel guide will give you directions and the basic instructions so that you enjoy this wonderful experience. Snorkeling time at each reef is 45 minutes.

Your tour includes a bilingual tour guide, roundtrip boat transportation, soft drinks and snorkel equipment. It does not include a $2 per person marine park preservation fee. Wear a bathing suit, bring a towel and cover yourself in biodegradeable sunblock.

COBA
You will be taken on a journey to one of the oldest cities of the Mayan civilization. Visit Coba, a historical place in the middle of the lush jungle, among five lagoons, and climb the highest pyramid of the Yucatan Peninsula, taller than “The Castle” pyramid of Chichen Itza.

Your tour includes a bilingual tour guide, roundtrip transportation, entrance fee to the archaeological site of Coba and a lunch buffet. Your beverages are not included. Wear comfy walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen and mosquito repellent. Bring some moola for souvenirs and drinks. If you wish to use your video camera, there’s a $4 fee.

DIVING
Cozumel is widely considered the dive capital of the western hemisphere. The reefs surrounding Cozumel’s shores include some of the largest and oldest corals in the world. The underwater world of Cozumel is stunningly varied, from dramatic underwater cliffs and coral teaming with colorful fishes to intriguing caverns and shallow reefs.

Geology greatly contributed to Cozumel’s uniqueness since the island protects the reefs from the powerful open ocean waves crashing on its eastern side. This reverse-barrier reef system and the gentle current from the Gulf Stream provide Cozumel with unmatched clear waters and ideal conditions for diving in a distinctive ecosystem.

AquaWorld, a 5-star Padi Dive Center with more than 20 years experience in the scuba diving business, has partnered with Palace Resorts to offer the best scuba diving experience. In addition to two-tank dive trips, AquaWorld services include daily cenote dives, tri-weekly night dives and wreck dives to Cancun. Among its educational programs are “Discover Scuba Program” for beginners and for advance divers the “Rescue Diver”, “Master Scuba Diver” and “Dive Master Trainer” programs, just to name a few.

Hello,

Can children come to this or is it just adults?

Claudia

This vacation is 21 and over. Check out R Family Vacations (rfamilyvacations.com) for awesome family trips.

Can you do all three no additional cost activities or is just one offered at no additional cost.

All of them are included in the price of your trip, except for the nominal park fees and miscellaneous noted. Pretty cool, huh?

Do you ever get Lisa Koch or Vicki Shaw as entertainers?

We haven’t yet, but I’ve learned to never say never.

WOW – submarines, lobsters, dolphins, and girls. This just doesn’t get any better! I am ready to book – have an email in to Flavia now.
WOO HOO! see you there!

Is diving included? How close is town from the resort?

Diving is not included, but our resort is a five-star PADI dive center! Whoo hoo.

Do you offer weekend trips? or 3 Night/4 day trips?

Stay tuned! We’re looking at some long weekend trips for the coming year. How does Vegas sound?

Can I bring my own golf clubs?

Yes, please!

All booked and ready to go! The adventures all look fantastic we’re in! We are from Australia coming to our first all girrrl resort. Thank’s for your hard work and organisation. We are extremely excited to say the least.

Hi Ladies,

I know many of you are looking forward to the amazing scuba diving Cozumel has to offer. I have heard from many guests that they are divers but their friends or partners are not. Don’t worry we have many divers going. If you would like to contact each other before hand please let me know or go ahead and post your questions, concerns, and excitement here.

Hope you are all getting as excited as I am. Cozumel is such a gem in the Yucatan.

Thanks and Stay Sweet

Do you have a list of the community service events yet? When will we be able to sign up? Booked our flights today, can’t wait!!!!!

Community service projects coming right up. Give me two more weeks. I can’t wait to see you again. xo

Wow!!!! We booked our trip 5 months ago and I can’t believe we will be basking in the sun at Cozumel in less than 5 weeks. Being overly anxious we’ve started to pack. Except for the activities that are on the website, is Sweet planning any other special activities/events, if so what are they? We’d like to come prepared to participate. It would be nice to get a daily itinerary of what Sweet in planning for the 7 days.

Shari! We share your excitement. We’ll be getting out a schedule and packing list this week. :)

It’s the two Aussies again. Can we book the optional activities now or should we wait? There are a few we would love to do and want to make sure we register our enthusiasm so they go ahead. TULUM / XPU-HA, SNORKELING & SAIL BY CATAMARAN & of course LOBSTER DINNER CRUISE…… Oh soo excited.

Hey everyone. Besides all the great resort activities going on, I am planning to sneak away to go diving with Blue Bubble Divers. I have dove with them before and in my opinion, they are the best on the Island! I’m hoping to get a small group to go for a two tank dive, so all of those interested let me know by facebook: dj trina j spins for pets.
