Short & Sweet community service

face1 Short & Sweet community service

The Seahorse Institute is a non-profit center that provides treatment for children with autism and related developmental delays. The Seahorse Institute is at the forefront in providing scientific research based intervention care to unlock the potential of our children. We provide a comprehensive curriculum that specializes in the acquisition of language, communication skills, pre-academic and academic independent functioning and socialization skill areas.

The Seahorse Institute recently suffered an electrical fire this past December, destroying classrooms, causing significant damage to their school facility and leaving more than 20 special needs children searching for a place to continue their crucial learning. The loss was devastating to the students, their families and the eleven teachers who depend on the school.

This is where you come in to make their world a little brighter. Because the school is currently being run out of church while they wait for their new school building to be ready later this summer, there isn’t a need for us to break out the power drill or paint brushes this time around. We will spend our morning meeting and playing with the children before we have a pizza party to celebrate their awesomeness. Feel free to bring toys and party items for the children.
