UPDATE: Hooray and thank you to all the Sweeties who donated and made it possible for my sister to care for this abandoned little girl. She’s doing awesome now. Her name is Sunshine. Thank you for making the world a brighter, better place.

Dear friends,
My little sister is the dog manager for Delta Animal Safe Haven, a non-profit dedicated to finding homes for homeless animals. Last week, a couple in Antioch, Calif., found an abandoned one-week-old puppy (see above). She’s so young, her eyes are still shut and her umbilical cord is still attached.

Normally, DASH doesn’t take animals that will require such expensive care because they don’t have a ton of funding and they have loads of other animals for which to care. Read the rest of this entry »

After the first week of military science class, which you take when you’re a part of ROTC, I had to sign a class contract that stated that I didn’t engage in any homosexual conduct or didn’t act on any thoughts of homosexual activity of any nature. Join Sweet for a three day, two night rafting adventure down the MINI Grand Canyon on the Colorado River. All the beauty, none of the vastness. This segment of the Colorado River is the answer for the person who wants it all. It’s a stunningly beautiful way to leave the world behind you. We’ll enjoy the finest beaches on the Colorado as well as side canyons and campsites with amazing vistas. Read the rest of this entry »

Here’s a list of things you don’t want to forget:
• Toiletries: Razor, lotion, make up (or not), hair ties, toothbrush, toothpaste, topsy tail, hair brush, mousse, gel, Advil, Extenze, tampons / pads, Q-Tips, etc.

• Hairdryer: If you have long or thick hair, you’ll want to bring your own dryer.

• Shorts: Cargo shorts — check! Camo shorts — check! Bermuda shorts — check! Board shorts — check! If you have no idea what I’m talking about, then you don’t need my help packing.

• Tank tops / T-shirts: Like you’d ever forget those.

• Sun dresses: These are optional. If you’re a sundress person, you’ll want to pack some. Read the rest of this entry »
